How it works
- Upload your staff list. A spreadsheet of names works. Add NPI numbers where you have them for more precise matching.
- We check every name, every month. Each month's newest lists are checked against your whole staff, plus anyone you add during the month.
- You get a certificate and alerts. A dated, printable certificate for auditors and payers, and an email right away if anyone needs a closer look.
Why monthly?
HHS-OIG advises healthcare employers to check the exclusion list regularly. If an excluded person is paid, directly or indirectly, with Medicare or Medicaid money, the employer can face civil money penalties and have to repay what was billed. Because new names are added every month, a check at hiring alone isn't enough.

Questions
Is this a background check?
No. StaffScreen checks the government exclusion lists that healthcare employers are expected to monitor. It doesn't look at criminal records, credit or employment history.
What information do you need about my staff?
Names, and NPI numbers where you have them. We never ask for Social Security numbers. If a name looks like a possible match, we show you the listed details so you can confirm it on the official site.
Do you track licenses too?
In states with a full License Directory, yes: license status and expiration dates, with renewal reminders. Massachusetts is available now at masslicensedirectory.com, and Florida is next. Everywhere else, StaffScreen covers exclusion screening.
We're a billing company or staffing agency. Can we screen for our clients?
Yes. Choose "Billing or consulting firm" or "Staffing agency" in the form and we'll set up group pricing.
